It's an effort to improve services for northwest Indiana veterans who come to the Crown Point outpatient clinic and for rural veterans who are assisted elsewhere.
The dean of the Valparaiso University School of Law is being recognized as a "legal legacy" by the American Constitutional Society. Because of her work, Illinois and other states have halted the death penalty. Lakeshore Public Radio's Steven Lattimore was on hand for the recognition ceremony, and he has a report.
