HOBART - An Indiana State Prison worker, whose termination is pending, is now charged with raping a woman he met at a downtown bar in Hobart.
The "Times" reports the alleged incident occurred in September 2017.
Fifty year-old Manuel Razo had failed to show up for two interviews and evaded police on a couple of different occasions over an approximate two-year period.
Hobart Police were finally able to catch Razo and attain his DNA by going to his work last June.
DNA results support the woman's allegation that Razo raped her.
The woman told police she agreed to go to Razo's apartment, because she needed to find a new apartment and Razo told her his would soon be for rent.
Razo served her a drink, and she blacked out. The woman told police when she awoke, she didn't feel well and realized she had been raped.
Razo was suspended without pay on June 26th.
