The 2022 midterm elections could be the most consequential in years, possibly defying political history and resetting modern political norms. Just a few weeks away--- former President Donald Trump has been placed front and center in several campaigns around the country. But how will the how will the “Trump Effect’ Play Effect play out for America? In the past many have always said that politics are local…but are they really? Lakeshore Public Radio's Dee Dotson and Tom Maloney speak with Pierre Atlas, Ph.D, a political scientist and senior lecturer at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI to get his take on what the state of our democracy.

Dee Dotson is the host and producer of our radio show/podcast, Regionally Speaking. Dee is responsible for connecting with the northwest Indiana community to share their stories with the Lakeshore Public Media listening audience.
As Vice President of Radio Operations, Tom is responsible for overseeing Lakeshore Public Radio. He oversees the radio station’s programming, as well as news. He was instrumental in bringing several different genres of music to Lakeshore Public Radio.
