The  nearly four-year-long Surgical Services Department project at Community Hospital in Munster is nearly complete.  It is part of a $40 million total investment that began five years ago and included the new Emergency Department Pavilion and additional private rooms.

Dr. Richard Berkowitz, the hospital's Medical Director of Surgical Services and John Olmstead, Director of Surgical Services and Emergency Services at Community Hospital, were on "Regionally Speaking" on Wednesday to talk, among many things, about the planning involved in the $20 million project and what the improvements will add to the state of healthcare in northwest Indiana.
