Today:  We continue our look into active shooter preparedness in northwest Indiana, with a conversation with Portage Police Chief Troy Williams.  His department is preparing a series of workshops beginning on March 13th to address concerns about active shooter situations for not only schools, but churches and businesses.

Ivy Tech Community College is closing its long-time classroom and trade program building on 35th Avenue in Gary and is relocating classes to its new, shared space in Indiana University Northwest's Arts and Sciences Building and into existing room at the Gary Area Career Center.  Lake County Chancellor Louis Gonzalez joins us to explain the changes being made.

We offer another edition of "Green Fleet Radio," supported by South Shore Clean Cities.  Host Carl Lisek focuses today on sustainable energy and work vehicles in northwest Indiana. And "Lakeshore Focus" host Keith Kirkpatrick talked with two women for the topic "Girls To Women, Growing Up the Hard Way."
