Franciscan Health is easing its mask policies. Starting Monday, March 27, masks will be optional at all of Franciscan's Indiana facilities. Its Illinois facilities will become mask optional a week later.

But Franciscan Alliance says masks will still be required where it's part of the "routine infection-control process," such as staff caring for patients with COVID. Patients may also ask staff members to wear a mask during their visit, and masks will continue to be available at all facilities.

Franciscan Alliance notes that policies may change, if there's a COVID-19 resurgence.
