Today: Hoosier economist-speaker-writer (and podcaster) Morton Marcus is on "Regionally Speaking" with his recent “Eye On The Pie” columns about inflation and the dubious nature of economic forecasts, among other topics. We have another conversation from the Welcome Project at Valparaiso University, this one about the origin of the town of Merrillville. Indiana Public Broadcasting's Jeanie Lindsey and Dylan Peers McCoy talk about how Hoosier school districts are using federal COVID relief aid, and we bring back a conversation with "Family Promise of Porter County's" board president about the effort to bring the homeless out of the cold this winter.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
