ProPEL U.S. 30 to hold community office hours in Wanatah

Residents have a chance to weigh in on future improvements to U.S. 30 east of Valparaiso. The Indiana Department of Transportation is conducting a two-year planning and environmental linkages study it's calling ProPEL U.S. 30.

Representatives will hold community office hours this Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Wanatah Public Library. It's a chance for residents to ask questions, provide input and get updates.

The U.S. 30 Coalition has long advocated for upgrading U.S. 30 to freeway standards east of State Road 49. But INDOT has said it's starting with a "clean slate" before proposing specific improvements.
