The City of Gary is encouraging residents to help clean up the city on Earth Day. The city says it's holding a special edition of its "All In Gary!" citywide cleanup on Saturday.
A kickoff event is scheduled for the IU Northwest parking lot at 8:00 a.m. City officials expect a number of community groups and hundreds of volunteers from Northwest Indiana churches to help with the effort.
