Northwest Indiana-born and Chicago-based R&B singer, songwriter and band leader ROBBY CELESTIN is the in-studio musical guest on this week's "Midwest BEAT."

Robby Celestin is the former lead vocalist of Timepeace and a past member of Stormy Weather. He currently fronts the popular Chicago covers band Final Say. The longtime singer has released solo CDs and EPs of original music and recently assembled the Robby Celestin Band, as a vehicle for his own original compositions and recordings. Robby will talk this evening about his long career as a live performer, along with songwriting and the rare Northwest Indiana show on October 16 with his self-named band. Song from his recordings and even a live tune or two will be performed during the program.
