A man is dead, after a crash on U.S. 30 Monday morning.
The Porter County Sheriff's Office says around 7:45 a.m., the man was driving east in a Chevrolet SUV near the Lake and Porter County line, when the vehicle hit a semi trailer in the same lane. Police say the driver of the SUV had died by the time they arrived.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
