The Democratic candidates for Gary Mayor debated on Thursday, April 2, 2023 at St. Timothy's Church in Gary, IN.

Participating in the debate were Mayor Jerome Prince and State Senator for District 3 Eddie Melton. Tom Maloney, with Lakeshore Public Radio - 89.1 FM, moderated the debate.

Co-sponsors for the debate included Lakeshore Public Radio - 89.1 FM, the League of Women Voters of the Calumet Area, RISE NWI/Legacy Foundation, AARP - Indiana, and the NAACP - Gary Chapter.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 2nd.
