Moody Blues’ John Lodge Talks About The Moodies, His New Solo Album and a 50 Year Career

JOHN LODGE — bass guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of the longstanding rock group — THE MOODY BLUES is the musical guest on this edition of “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges.”

The Moody Blues are back on the road touring across American and will perform live on November 3 at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, IN.  

John Lodge recently released his second solo album — “TEN THOUSAND LIGHT YEARS AGO” — the long awaited follow up to his 1977 debut solo album, “Natural Avenue.” 

During this evening program, in addition to chatting about The Moody Blues and playing a pair of classic tracks by the band, selections from “TEN THOUSAND LIGHT YEARS AGO” will be featured

Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979. For the last 35-years, he has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper. He was also publisher and editor of the monthly tri-state entertainment magazine ("Midwest BEAT Magazine") for over two decades, he has written hundreds of features for numerous national glossy magazines over the decades, and he wrote "Liner Notes" for over a dozen albums release by Sony Records.
