In-Studio Guests: BILLY FOSTER & RENEE MILES-FOSTER

Tom's in-studio guests on this edition of "A Look At The Arts" is jazz performers BILLY FOSTER and his wife/musical partner RENEE MILES-FOSTER.

Foster is a former member of the Valparaiso University Faculty Jazz Trio, and currently the band leader of The Billy Foster Quartet, which features Renee on vocals.

Billy Foster has recorded a variety of albums over the years, spent 35-years as a music teacher in the Gary Public School system and jazz piano instructor at Valparaiso University.  He is also the host/producer of "Billy Foster's Jazz Zone" radio program on Gary's WGVE 88.7FM.

Foster is the producer of and is performing in -- "The I.U. Northwest Jazz History Concert featuring Billy Foster" -- a special February 28 Black History event at Indiana University Northwest's Bergland Auditorium.   Keep up with the Fosters online at: www.billyfoster.com

    Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979. For the last 35-years, he has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper. He was also publisher and editor of the monthly tri-state entertainment magazine ("Midwest BEAT Magazine") for over two decades, he has written hundreds of features for numerous national glossy magazines over the decades, and he wrote "Liner Notes" for over a dozen albums release by Sony Records.
