The Bluz Brothers Shake Their Tailfeathers on Behalf of Local Shelter Animals

This edition of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” originally aired on Tuesday, March 7, 2017

In-Studio Guest:  DAVID DILLARD of THE BLUZ BROTHERS

In studio for this program were members of THE BLUZ BROTHERS -- "Chicago's Premier Tribute to Jake and Elwood" -- an 8-piece band dedicated to those great R&B and party tunes made popular by Jake and Elwood Blues of Calumet City, Illinois.

For years, this zany gang of dancing, singing, horn-blowing guys have brought the magic to festivals, clubs and casino's across the Midwest,  including many performances at Chicago's House of Blues, a club inspired in part by Jake and Elwood them.

DAVID DILLARD of the BLUZ BROTHERS guested  in studio with host Tom Lounges to chat about the group's career, and to play some recordings of them keeping the Bluz Brothers music alive and well.

They also chat about their performance at the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana's annual "PET ROCK" event on MARCH 11th at Hobart's County Line Orchard.   Hear about the event where rock 'n' roll fans can "shake a tail feather" wit da boys and help the homeless animals of Northwest Indiana.   "We love dem homeless little critters," says the group.
