Local Play Honors Sheriff Lillian Holley

Guests on this week's "A LOOK AT THE ARTS with Tom Lounges" radio  program will be -- Northwest Indiana author and historian MARION KELLUM and The Lake County Courthouse Foundation President Marti Wheeler -- to discuss the new original stage play -- "LILLIAN" -- which opens tonight for a two week run at the historic Lake County Courthouse Maki Ballroom in downtown Crown Point.
 
There may also be a guest appearance or two from members of the acting cast.
 
"LILLIAN" is the story of Lake County Indiana’s first female Sheriff Lillian Holley, it's an original play, written by Marion Kellum, performed March 3, 4, 5 and again March 10, 11 & 12.

Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979. For the last 35-years, he has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper. He was also publisher and editor of the monthly tri-state entertainment magazine ("Midwest BEAT Magazine") for over two decades, he has written hundreds of features for numerous national glossy magazines over the decades, and he wrote "Liner Notes" for over a dozen albums release by Sony Records.
