Kinks' Iconic Guitarist DAVE DAVIES is First Midwest BEAT Guest for International Guitar Month

This edition of "MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges" originally aired Tuesday, April  4, 2017

Musical Guest:   Rock Guitar Icon DAVE DAVIES of THE KINKS

APRIL is International Guitar Month!   Guitar rock legend, DAVE DAVIES (lead guitarist and co-founder of THE KINKS), is the first legendary guitarist scheduled to guest on the program.  On this show, Davies will discuss his five-plus decade career, Gibson guitars, the story behind how he and a razor blade came to create guitar distortion to change the sound of rock music forever, and of course the release of his new solo album, "OPEN ROAD," a melodic rock record of new tunes that is a collaboration with his son, Russ Davies, a talented guitarist, songwriter and producer in his own right.

This program features a few of the new songs from "OPEN ROAD" and a few Kinks classics too!   Check out the new music and what Dave has to say, then catch him performing live in St. Charles, Illinois at the Arcada Theatre on April 8.   Keep up with this iconic British rocker at: http://www.davedavies.com.

* Repeats on FRIDAY, APRIL 7th @ 11pm.
