Valpo's RESPITE HOUSE Gets Help from Americana Band, THE BOTTLE ROCKETS

This edition of "A LOOK AT THE ARTS with Tom Lounges" features an interview with BRIAN HANNEMAN of the Americana group, THE BOTTLE ROCKETS, and Northwest Indiana concert promoter ROB HARKEL of Brightside Music.   

The topic of discussion is a concert by The Bottle Rockets on April 15 concert at Memorial Opera House to will benefit the RESPITE HOUSE of Valparaiso, IN, which is a half way house for recovering adult males from addiction.  Speaking for the facility is its co-founder LITA PETERS
    
Listeners learn about the facility, its programs, and how this annual benefit concert for RESPITE HOUSE began a few years ago and has enjoyed success and community support.  

Some Bottle Rockets' music is also be featured, and their career discussed.

Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979. For the last 35-years, he has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper. He was also publisher and editor of the monthly tri-state entertainment magazine ("Midwest BEAT Magazine") for over two decades, he has written hundreds of features for numerous national glossy magazines over the decades, and he wrote "Liner Notes" for over a dozen albums release by Sony Records.
