This edition of "MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges" was originally aired on 89.1FM - Lakeshore Public Radio on March 8, 2019.

MUSICAL GUEST:  JIM BABJAK of   The Smithereens

Information: Jersey musician JIM BABJAK, a co-founding member of THE SMITHEREENS was guest on this edition to discuss the group's long and successful history, it's plans to continue touring and recording following the tragic death of co-founding vocalist/guitarist PAT DiNINZO, and they came to evolve with an ever-changing cast of guest vocalists filling that void.
