Rachel Brooke Keeps Us Company with New Album "The Loneliness in Me"

This edition of "Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges" was originally aired on 10-09-20 on 89.1FM-Lakeshore Public Radio.

GUEST: RACHEL BROOKE

For this week's program, host Tom Lounges welcomed down the incredible Midwest music talent, RACHEL BROOKE, to discuss her career, life during COVID as a musician, and the making of her latest album, "The Loneliness In Me," which she says is the most "honest" to who she really is as a person.

Songs from the new album are of course spotlighted for the Lakeshore listener's enjoyment in between the interview segments.  So plan to get turned on to some tasty new tunes that while country rooted, reflects the artist's varied interests and influences.

Brooke is an amalgamation of sounds and styles that is sometimes minimalistic and other times bombastic, with tunes that are slow, fast, and in-between. In many ways, she is a bridge between classic old country and today.  Alt-country that will connect with country purists into Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette love her, but also connecting with fans of  indie pop/rock.

Brooke is a little bit Southern Belle, a little bit heartthrob, and a little bit man eater!  Don't miss getting to know this fantastic new album by an incredible Michigan artist with a Nashville groove. Rachel joined us by phone for this special episode of Midwest Beat!  More on Rachel at: www.rachelbrookemusic.com.
