As you know, our Summer Membership Drive is underway, and we're looking for your support to help raise $5,000.00 to upgrade our reporter kits.
We cover a lot of news for being a small news team - we have 2 full-time host/reporters, 1 part-time host/reporter, and 1 part-time reporter. A lot of our equipment that we've been using since our launch in 2009 is now becoming obsolete. We need a quality upgrade for equipment recorders, as well as a camera that would allow us to take high quality photos when out at events. The rise in Facebook Live, Periscope (Twitter), and Instagram Live allow for newsrooms to go live, from anywhere, at anytime when news breaks. Making sure that quality pictures and live feeds are available are now part of our requirements as a news organization.
