Regionally Speaking, Tuesday, January 3, 2017

Today:  A conversation with Highland attorney Bill Fine, who is stepping down from his private law practice to become the next Indiana Utility Consumer Counselor.  Governor-Elect Eric Holcomb appointed Fine to the post to take over for Davis Stippler, who retired effective Jan. 1st.  Fine says he's looking forward to this new career opportunity.

Hoosier Environmental Council executive director Jesse Kharbanda offers his views on the appointment by the Governor-Elect of Bruno Pigott, a veteran Indiana Department of Environmental Management staffer, to be the next IDEM Commissioner.

And we bring you how a northwest Indiana high school history teacher gets his students involved in events of more than 60 years ago.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
