Regionally Speaking, Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Joshua Claybourn - Vimeo

Today:  Josh Claybourn, an Indiana attorney, Republican and contributor to Howey Politics Indiana joins us to talk about his recent commentary about the first weeks of the Trump administration and its impact on the GOP.  He called it "a great fork in the road."

Kim Ferraro of the Hoosier Environmental Council talks about a bill before an Indiana House environmental committee hearing on Wednesday that, if enacted into law, would change IDEM licensing requirements for CAFOs. It was introduced by State Rep. Michael Aylesworth (R-Lake County).  Ferraro says the measure would affect all Hoosiers who live near these "factory farms."

We hear from Indiana House Democratic Leader Scott Pelath (D-Michigan City) and House Speaker Brian Bosma about the Democrat caucus's plan for infrastructure improvement.  And Lakeshore Public Radio's Steven Lattimore talks with an expert on how to avoid income tax-related scams this filing season.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
