Food Bank of Northwest Indiana Helps Feed Hungry Students During the Summer

GARY - The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has been leading the Region’s fight against hunger since 1982 and distributes more than four-million meals each year to hungry kids, adults and seniors across Lake and Porter Counties.

This time of year, their efforts turn to feeding kids who are out of school but still need that breakfast and lunch meal the food bank makes sure they get the food they need. Lakeshore Public Radio’s Steven Lattimore has the story.

Columbia College Alumni Steven Lattimore has been a broadcast journalist since 1988, starting his career in Greenville, Mississippi as a television reporter.
