Today:   We find out more about a recent trade mission that Northwest Indiana Forum President-CEO Heather Ennis made to Seattle, along with members of a delegation from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

The Ball State University Center for Business and Economic Research, along with another state policy study group, delved into the issues of two forces that could affect the work force of the future:  automation and "offshoring" jobs.  We talk to the Center's executive director, economist Michael Hicks, about the study, which compared the risks in urban areas to those in rural areas of the Hoosier State.

And we revisit our conversation with noted international economist Arthur Cyr, who will be guest speaker at Wednesday's quarterly luncheon and meeting of the Northwest Indiana World Trade Alliance.  He'll speak on globalization as a uniquely American concept.  The meeting will be held in Merrillville.  Cyr is a member of the faculty at Carthage College in Wisconsin but he's worked with organizations in northwest Indiana in the past.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
