Indiana University Northwest

Today:   Indiana University Northwest Dean of Students Beth Tyler joins us to talk about the Gary campus' sexual assault prevention programs.   With the start of a new academic year, IUN wants to make sure that students understand the importance of recognizing and preventing sexual misconduct -- as well as domestic and date violence and abuse, sexual harassment and stalking.  Dean Tyler talks about a number of programs -- local as well as IU system-wide -- that inform and educate.

Ann Massie of the Northwest Indiana Food Council is back, with an update on how well this year's "Food Hop" series of farm tours across the Region went and with a lpreview of the next programs coming up -- one of them on October 13th.

And Lakeshore Public Television host Garrard McClendon and his guests talk on "CounterPoint" about cyberbullying -- and whether it can be considered a real crime.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
