Lakeshore Public Media

Today:  On this Reporters Roundtable we bring in "Times of Northwest Indiana" reporters Bill Dolan and Carmen McCollum and, for his initial visit, "Inside Indiana Business" senior writer-reporter Dan McGowan.  They talk about the stories they worked on that appear online on the internet and, in Bill's and Carmen's instances, in print.

Bill Dolan focuses much of his time with us on former Lake County Sheriff John Buncich and his sentencing this week on the public corruption charges against him.  Bill also talks about the surprise appearance at Buncich's sentencing of his "significant other," Deborah Back.  He also covers stories about the Lake County Council and the initial  primary election candidates for Lake County government office.

Dan McGowan talks about his conversation with a Lake County economic development official about the growth of e-commerce in the Region and Dan has the latest on Amazon's "HQ2" site selection process.  Indianapolis and Chicago are on the list of 20 finalist locations.

And Carmen McCollum reviews her "Times" stories on education, including the Gary Community School  Board,  and the latest on the city of Hammond's swimming pools.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
