IN Passenger Rail Alliance

Today:  we find out the latest concerns about railroad safety, especially in light of recent passenger and freight train incidents around the country, from Indiana Passenger Rail Alliance president Steve Coxhead.  Steve also has updates on the Amtrak "Hoosier State" and "Cardinal" services between Indianapolis and Chicago and -- for the "Cardinal" -- points to the East Coast.   A very unique south Lake County bed-and-breakfast is featured as Indiana's only listing on a special U.S. list from a national website, and Lakeshore Public Radio's Sharon Jackson talks to Ravinia Festival spokesman Welz Kauffman about this year's program.

And we have another edition of "Green Fleet Radio" for you, with Carl Lisek of South Shore Clean Cities.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
