Indiana Public Media

Today:    On this "Reporters Roundtable,"  we hear from "Post-Tribune" reporters Meredith Colias-Pete and Carole Carlson about the stories they published in print and online.  Meredith talks about her stories detailing audit reports on local charter schools -- a General Assembly bill to include school safety costs in future public referendum questions, if approved -- and her feature about two sisters born in the Ukraine, separated at childhood, but recently reunited at O'Hare International Airport.  Carole's stories include Senator Eddie Melton's economic development proposal for Gary that includes the city's two casino licenses, Congressman Pete Visclosky and the recent "Living Mayors Roundtable" in Gary.

Indiana Public Broadcasting reporter Julia Meek talks with a Fort Wayne community activist who's well known for his haircuts and his offering peace and hope to his customers and anyone who needs it.  And Lakeshore Public Radio's Dee Dotson brings back her conversation with a PNC Bank official -- and inspirational speaker -- who was keynoter at a recent event in Michigan City.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
