Regionally Speaking, Tuesday, June 18, 2019

U.S. Defense Dept.

Today:   Leslie Plesac with Purdue University Northwest's Sinai Forum speaker series joins us with the list of speakers this coming fall -- a list which includes retired General John Kelly, "Sully" Sullenberger, Gloria Steinem and Alan Dershowitz.  The former White House chief of staff is the first speaker on Sept. 8th at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City.  All the other speakers will be on the Westville campus.   We also have comments from state Rep. Mara Candelaria Reardon (D-Munster) at a news conference where she and three legislative staffers -- who were allegedly groped by Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill -- announce the filing of a federal court lawsuit against Hill.   IYI chief executive Tami Silverman also talks about the 2019 "Kids Count Data Book," just released today.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
