Regionally Speaking, Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Post-Tribune/Chicago Tribune

Today:   Lake County Democratic Party chairman Jim Weiser and his Republican Party counterpart, Dan Dernulc, talk about the last-minute campaigning efforts that their candidates are making, one week ahead of the municipal elections. They also talk about the joint letter they issued in response to remarks posted on Facebook by the former Libertarian Party chairman about two Hammond City Council candidates.  We have another edition of "Building Northwest Indiana," with host Kevin Comerford from the Construction Advancement Foundation -- and another conversation from the Welcome Project at Valparaiso University.  Indiana Public Broadcasting's Taylor Haggerty wraps up her two-part series on the state of recycling in Indiana, and we bring back our conversation with Steve Coxhead with the Indiana Passenger Rail Alliance about the group's post-legislative efforts on Hoosier rail services.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
