Regionally Speaking, Monday, March 16, 2020

WVPE Public Radio

Today: We have three conversations about the coronavirus: one of them, with a Crown Point woman who has self-quarantined after testing negative for the flu, step-throat and RSV.   State Representative Chris Chyung (D-Dyer) talks about the 2020 General Asssembly session and of his own decision to stay at home, with symptoms of the cold and flu, because of his concern over COVID-19. And NFIB state director Barbara Quandt reviews a recent survey of Hoosier small businesses on how they are dealing with COVID-19.Chyung also offers his thoughts on how state lawmakers should consider reviewing how much is budgeted in the future for health-related issues, in light of the virus outbreak this year.  And reporter Annacaroline Caruso attended a Sunday Mass at a church that was recommended not to be open during the outbreak.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
