Front Line and Essential Workers to get Big Tribute Tuesday

NORTHWEST INDIANA-Health care workers, first responders and essential workers will be getting a big salute on Tuesday.  The "Times" reports four military planes will fly over the Region.

The Fort Wayne-based 122nd Fighter Wing of the Indiana National Guard is performing an "Air Force Salute" in the Region as part of its regularly scheduled training missions.

The four A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft are scheduled to fly over downtown Gary at 4:51 p.m. and over downtown Michigan City at 4:56 p.m.

The flyover also will be visible to people located in areas from Lafayette to Gary, from Gary to Michigan City, and from Michigan City to South Bend.

 

Sharon Jackson is the local host of "All Things Considered" and a reporter for Lakeshore Public Radio. She has been with 89.1 FM since its launch in 2009. Sharon is also a radio DJ in Chicago, and has been since 2004. In her previous job at Metro Networks/Westwood One, she was heard on am 890 WLS, WGN radio 720 am and am 560 WIND. She has also delivered news and traffic reports on radio stations all over Chicago and the suburbs including 95.9 The River, 98.3 WCCQ and Star 96.7.
