Crown Point Clerk's Office Moving to Bulldog Park

City of Crown Point

CROWN POINT - The City of Crown Point’s Clerk Office is moving to Bulldog Park temporarily.

Bette Babjak, Chief Deputy for the Crown Point City Clerk Treasurer, says the office is moving due to renovations being made.

"Bascially due to COVID we've got 13-plus people in this space and the mayor and our clerk felt the need to do something to try to spread us out," Babjak said.

The move is a short-term arrangement and the office staff hopes to be back into its old space by March of 2021.

Currently the clerk's office administration is determining how it will proceed in providing its service as Lake County's COVID spread rates went into the red zone on Monday afternoon and in-person service may be put on-hold.

New water customer service or contractors can call 219-662-3235 for information or to make an appointment, and questions can also be emailed to ctoffice@crownpoint.in.gov.

Babjak says the Clerk’s Office will be unavailable Wednesday and Thursday.
Water payments must be mailed or placed in the drop box at the south end of the police department parking lot. Walk-ins are not available.  The clerk's office operations should all resume on Monday at the new location at 183 S. West Street.
