Regionally Speaking: Three Time Breast Cancer Survivor Dr. Peggy Winston-Pritchett

Dr. Peggy Winston-Pritchett, the founder of the nonprofit organization named Dr. Winston-Pritchett's Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., which is doing business as Dr. Peggy's Karaoke for the Cure. A transplant to the Region, Dr. Peggy is a three-time breast cancer survivor who has detailed her first breast cancer experience in her book entitled "My Breast Cancer Story, the Anatomy of Tears." Lakeshore Public Radio's Dee Dotson speaks with Dr. Peggy about her upcoming event Dr. Peggy's Karaoke for the Cure to raise awareness and funds to further breast cancer research.

As co-host and producer of Regionally Speaking, Dee is responsible for connecting with northwest Indiana community newsmakers to share their stories with the Lakeshore Public Radio listening audience. She believes in the power of storytelling to engag, teach and change lives. Prior to working at Lakeshore Public Radio, Dee enjoyed giving her time, talent, and resources to various community organizations. Dee believes in servant leadership.
