The Lake County Council is clearing the way for future beach improvements at Lake Dalecarlia. Council members approved a petition Tuesday to vacate a county easement.
The president of the Lake Dalecarlia Property Owners Association, Bill Waligora, said it cuts between two of the association's South Beach properties. "We would like to improve the beach, put park equipment in there, and then eventually, we'd have to do some shoreline restoration," Waligora told council members.
An ordinance transferring ownership of the easement to the property owners association will be presented for the county council's approval on May 10.
