The Lake County Council welcomed back one of its former members Tuesday — this time, as the council's attorney. Council members approved a consultant contract with attorney Tom O'Donnell. He's expected to replace Ray Szarmach when he retires in the coming months.
Council Member Christine Cid felt council members "made a very educated choice" and said she's happy to have O'Donnell join them. O'Donnell thanked council members for their support and promised to work hard for them.
