With more than a week remaining before the primary election, thousands of Porter County residents have already voted.

"We are, approximately, a little bit over 1,800 absentee in-person voters and roughly 1,100 absentee by mail voters, so quite a difference from 2020 but still keeping the elections office very busy," Clerk Jessica Bailey told the rest of the election board Thursday.

Early voting continues Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at seven locations around Porter County — but on Tuesday and Thursday, polls remain open until 8:30 p.m. Early voting ends Monday, May 2 at noon.

Election Day voting takes place Tuesday, May 3 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
