Another death has been reported at a Lake Michigan beach.
Indiana Conservation officers say that around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, two girls were seen struggling in the water at Marquette Beach in Gary. Visitors were able to pull one of them out, while a Lake County Sheriff's helicopter helped locate the other. Both were taken to Gary Methodist hospital, where a 14-year-old was treated and released but a nine-year-old was pronounced dead.
An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
