One of the architects behind some of Northwest Indiana's biggest projects in recent years has gotten one of the state's highest honors from Governor Eric Holcomb.

"He is trusted. He is respected. If I had to pick one honest broker — if I could only pick one honest broker in the state of Indiana, it is our friend and certainly my dear friend, Bill Hanna as the next Sagamore of the Wabash in the state of Indiana!" Holcomb said during an event hosted by the Northwest Indiana Forum Tuesday.

Hanna currently serves as the executive director of the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation, after more than a decade as president and CEO of the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority. He said he was "blown away" by the recognition, and said it was extremely special coming from Governor Holcomb.
