If you've ever thought about running for office, there's a workshop next week to help you through the process. Purdue Extension - Lake County is teaming up with the County Clerk's Office and Board of Elections & Registration to go over the positions on the May primary ballot and the requirements to run for local office.
The free program will be held Wednesday, January 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake County Extension office in Crown Point. Organizers say the goal is "to create a community of local political knowledge and participation."
