Capernaum – Region’s Music Combo – Rocks for Homeless Animals

This edition of “A LOOK AT THE ARTS with Tom Lounges” originally aired FRIDAY, OCT. 21, 2016

In-Studio Musical Guest:  CAPERNAUM

Northwest Indiana’s fast rising young rock combo — CAPERNAUM — makes a return to the Lakeshore Radio studio three years after their debut appearance, to guest this afternoon on “A LOOK AT THE ARTS with Tom Lounges.”

The band visits the studio to play a couple of original songs and a couple of their favorite covers songs — to showcase what folks will hear on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29 when they perform at ZAO Island Family Entertainment Center in Valparaiso for a 6:00pm concert capping off a day long Humane Society of Northwest Indiana fundraiser.

CAPERNAUM will chat about the growth of their music and popularity since they debuted on Lakeshore Public Radio after winning Lake County Fair’s “Battle of the Midway” three years ago.

Listeners will also get information on the fundraiser, which begins with an “Adopt-A-Thon” and “Halloween Pet Photos” (1-4pm) at the special Humane Society photo tent where a donation gets pet owners a photo of their costumed pet on a memory stick.

There’s also a “TRUNK OR TREAT” segment (3-6pm) where regional businesses will be dishing out candy in a safe and controlled environment to kids in costume, which leads up to the CAPERNAUM concert and a costume contest for children and adults.
