This week's "Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges" radio program spotlights song selections from the annual "TOM'S TOP 10 REGIONAL ALBUMS" of the year as announced and published this week in THE TIMES daily newspaper.
Each year, THE TIMES' veteran weekly music columnist publishes his personal "Top 10" list of albums by local artists; and for the last 5 years, music from those listed albums have been spotlighted on the "Midwest BEAT" program. Lounges' "LOCAL SCENE" column has been printed in "THE TIMES" for the last 36 years.
New songs from each regional artist on Tom's "Top 10 of 2019" regional album list will be spotlighted for Lakeshore Public Radio listeners to experience, with Tom commenting a bit on the artists and albums.
This week's show will be a very song-driven and music intensive. The regional artists featured include: JEFF MASSEY, IDES OF MARCH, JIM PETERIK's WORLD STAGE, SWITCHBACK, NICK MOSS BAND, PETE BERWICK, LeANN STUTLER, TIM GAINER, JAMES GEDDA and HOOSIER DITTY.
