American Revolution Screening & Discussion
In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Lakeshore Public Media and Indiana Humanities invite the community to a special screening and discussion of The American Revolution, a new PBS documentary series.
This engaging program will feature curated clips from the 12-part series, offering a powerful look at the people, conflicts, and defining moments that shaped the nation’s founding. Through these selections, attendees will gain deeper insight into the complexities of the Revolutionary War, including its military, political, and social dimensions.
Following the screening, guests will participate in facilitated table discussions led by regional scholars and community leaders. These conversations are designed to encourage thoughtful reflection on the legacy of the American Revolution and its continued relevance today. Light refreshments will be provided.
