Festival de la Monarca
Festival de la Monarca
Join The Nature Conservancy on Saturday, September 7 for the 7th annual Festival de la Monarca. This FREE festival celebrates the monarch butterfly as it migrates through East Chicago, Indiana. The unique event honors the monarch’s cultural connections to Mexico while helping children and adults connect with nature.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT at Kosciuszko Park. There will be music, food, dance, and a stunning release of monarch butterflies as they head south to their wintering grounds. Watch our Monarch Festival video to learn more about the monarch’s cultural significance.
