Stories in MonochromeBy Connie & George Kassal
Exhibition Duration: May 3 - June 29, 2025
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 3, 3 PM - 6 PM
Monochrome artwork uses a single color, often incorporating varying shades of that color. This approach emphasizes the emotional and visual impact of the art, encouraging a focus on composition, texture, and shape without the influence of a multicolored palette.
Connie and George, an artist couple, have been active members of the Northwest Indiana art community for many years. The unique style of their artwork has earned them recognition throughout the region.
Connie’s paintings tell stories of joy, the harmony of living close to nature, the struggles of illness, and profound encounters with near-death experiences.
George’s environmental photography explores how modern societal activities reshape the traditional landscape, capturing the evolving story of the contemporary environment.
