Edgewater Systems website

Today:   Dr. Danita Johnson Hughes, the President-CEO of Edgewater Systems, talks about how the organization earned a January Innovators Award from the Society of Innovators for Northwest Indiana for its new Edgewater Primary Care Centers in Gary and Griffith.

WalletHub.com analyst Jill Gonzalez is with us to talk about how Indiana cities fared in the latest "Most and Least Recession-Recovered Cities" list for 2017.  No city in the Hoosier State ranked very high on the list (mostly cities in the Southwest.)

Michael Boos of the Association of the Wolf Lake Initiative talks about Saturday's Winter Wonderland at Wolf Lake which includes presentations about research projects like the continuing study into mudpuppies found in the bi-state lake.

We'll hear from Lakeshore Public Radio's Steven Lattimore about Democratic State Rep. Earl Harris' bill -- filed this week in the General Assembly -- to get state agencies to help the city of East Chicago deal with its lead contamination issues.  Steven also has a report on a bill filed by State Rep. Linda Lawson (D-Hammond) to help Hoosier women fight cervical cancer.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
