Regionally Speaking, Thursday, September 14, 2017

change.org

Today:  it's Reporters Roundtable Thursday, when we ask several reporters from the northwest Indiana media onto the program to talk about their stories.  This week -- it's Carrie Napoleon, Meredith Colias and Greg Tejeda from the "Post-Tribune" and Carmen McCollum from the "Times of Northwest Indiana."

The topics this week range from Carrie's stories on plans for a new business in south Lake County and charges filed against a man for an illegal puppy mill -- to Meredith's conversation with a young "Dreamer" from East Chicago who hopes that repealing DACA won't prevent her from attending Ivy Tech Community College and the future of the Catholic Diocese of Gary's school system -- to Greg's stories from recent Gary Common Council meetings -- to Carmen's stories focusing on northwest Indiana education issues including the visit by Indiana's Superintendent of Public Instruction to Valparaiso University.and the I-STEP exams.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
