Today: Any Northwest Indiana veteran can find out more about programs available to them by attending the monthly meetings of the city of Portage's veterans' committee. Tom Pappas, the chairman of the committee, came back on "Regionally Speaking" to talk about the next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, October 4th. He was joined later on the phone by Marc Magill, the new director of the Jesse Brown Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chicago. Magill came to a quarterly town hall meeting for veterans and their families on Monday at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Crown Point.
And Javier and Juan Haro, two brothers from Chicago who created "Food He.ro" culinary business incubator at the "ArtHouse" in downtown Gary, join us to talk about their project and how it can help Gary residents become successful entrepreneurs in their own right.
