Regionally Speaking, Tuesday, December 19, 2017

attorney.mtmedia.us

Today:  A conversation with former Gary Mayor Scott King, now an attorney in northwest Indiana and a consultant.  He talks about his years in office as well as the changes in economic development that he's seen take place since being at Gary City Hall.

We bring you another conversation from the Welcome Project at Valparaiso University.  The project collets first-person stories and pairs these with intentional conversation to help forge stronger ties within and across our communities.

"Indiana Gaming Insight" newsletter editor and publisher Ed Feigenbaum brings us up-to-date on the latest (within days) about the northwest Indiana and statewide gaming picture, including changes in ownership at some casinos.

And "Save the Dunes" executive director Natalie Johnson talks about the partnership that is continuing to improve the East Fork of the Little Calumet River and the latest grant of $275,000 from the Chi-Cal Rivers Fund to support the work.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
